Unified Fans Opposed to Ticket Scalping

A long, long time ago in an ocean there was an island..did I live or did I dream?..the lines were short, the scalpers few and Buffett tickets were easy to come by.. welcome to the 21st century..It is that time of year of again, the Parrotheads of the nation are lining up at the crack of dawn to buy tickets to Buffett concerts. We come prepared in groups with 2 or more cell phones, friends on computers, cash and credit cards in hand to go up against the hated Ticketmaster and the ticket scalpers to acquire our spots on the lawn or in the seats. How many will walk away with the prize? From past experience, I can say, not too many! But hey! Thanks to all the scalpers and brokers out there...You can be lucky enough to purchase seats to Nissan, mind you row B for only a mere 1625.00 per ticket! Take out that second mortgage, sell that car, you don't really need it! Those brokers need your money more than you do!

But seriously..... This is a site dedicated to return the concerts that we wait in anticipation for to the Parrotheads.

Buffet has worked hard to get where he is
The Parrotheads have put him where he is now.
The ticket scalpers, the brokers? All they do is put money in their pockets from the hard work of the artists who have strived to reach for the stars, but mostly from the fans - that is if the fans can afford the prices of the scalpers and brokers.

Definition of ticket scalping per the NY Attorney General: Economic underground consisting of price gouging, bribery and tax evasion.
Unified Fans Opposed to Ticket Scalping contends that "all men are created equal" and we should have an equal opportunity to purchase concert tickets at the artist's ticket price.
UFOTTS also believes that the answer to this crisis is to have a Federal law implemented prohibiting scalping nationwide.
As put in the words of Georgia Governor Roy E. Barnes "I cannot countenance legislation which does nothing to enhance public access to events and will inevitably restrict our state's first-class sporting and cultural events to a PRIVILEGED FEW."
(Said in a letter to UFOTTS co-founder after he vetoed a bill that would have allowed ticket scalping in Georgia.)
Your support is greatly needed and appreciated.
Send a message to Washington to pass a bill against scalping. Or send us your complaints via email or on the message board (see link at bottom of page) and we will send it on for you! See current bill that has been in "committee" since 1998. Do not let this travisty continue. Why pay $200 for a $30 seat.

Follow this linkto find your representatives in Washington or your state's Attorney General. At a loss for words? See our sample letter page. No profanity please.

Send a message to all of your state representatives too. If your state does not have an anti-scalping law, why not? If it does, why is it not being enforced?
Get mad and then take action. Tell them we're not going to take it any more. Put the concerts back in the hands of the fans, before the concerts are accessed by only a PRIVILEGED FEW!
Educate yourself - take a look at what's been going on while you've been trying to scrape up the $200 to get to the concert that should cost you $30.00.
